Issy's new website

 Not quit a masterpiece yet but this is my new website. still getting the hang of the new ways of adding stuff and designing pages but do have a look and let me know what you think.

​it was time to reassess my art practice after becoming a granny twice over last year and finding an overwhelming urge to spend time knitting and making a baby quilt.
​

,​I found I could still find time to continue with the 'serious', but still fun, mixed media work I enjoy. However I still use drawing and painting in my work. My late father left me rather a lot of materials to inspire me into more traditional work too.

His self portrait as a young man inspires me daily to continue trying to improve my art. Always the art teacher, I was so pleased he saw me gain  my Master of Fine Arts in Dundee from the art college where he and my mother met. How lucky I am  to have had such creative parents.

​Dad did get to see my installation 'Reconnect to the Lost and Forgotten' although he was disappointed I had not 'taken it to the next level' by making a big painting from it! He and my textile designer mother were always debating what real art was!
